DAMAGE-at_Feasibility study_public_report

The feasibility study, commissioned by the Klima und Energiefonds, DAMAGE.at, includes the study of usability, comparability and the ability to intersect existing data collections on monetary losses based on natural hazards (with an emphasis on data collections in the field of public administration), the clarification of the requirements for the provision of monetary loss data by data collecting institutions, the conception of the implementation within the framework of the CCCA Data Centre as well as the first pilot mergers of monetary loss data from heterogeneous sources. In addition, a catalogue of options was drawn up to serve as a basis for discussion and decision-making aid for the conception and design of an Austria-wide database or database module on weather- and climate-related (monetary) damage, covering (1) use, (2) content and (3) location.
