National Wastewater Drug Monitoring Program Reports

The National Wastewater Drug Monitoring Program commenced in August 2016 and provides national research and intelligence on illicit and licit drugs, with a specific focus on methylamphetamine and other high-risk substances. The Program is funded from the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission’s (ACIC) annual budgetary allocation. The data in the reports show trends in drug consumption across Australia.

Updates are published three times per year by the ACIC. Annual figures are available are available for each state and territory, broken down further to regional and capital city figures. Regional figures are reported as an aggregation of all wastewater testing sites outside of capital cities.
