Modeled damage assessments are based on
flood depth grids, then verified with satellite imagery. Depth grids can
be Observed (data from river, coastal, tide gauges), or Forecasted
(created from Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service, AHPS, forecasts). Remote Sensing contains flood extents and other data from NASA and Copernicus. Surge Inundation Dashboard
Analysis will update when there is greater than 10% chance of 5' or more of Surge Inundation.
Hurricane Force Winds Dashboard
Analysis will update automatically when
there is a greater than 50% chance of hurricane force winds (64 knot, 74
mph) over land. Wind data is taken from the latest NOAA advisory.
